Hawaii Interior Design

One of my favorite Hawaii interior design projects was a home at the Lau’ Eki Estates at Hualalai.
The scope was to fully furnish and accessorize the 5, 300 sq. ft. home. The color palette had to be mainly neutral with soft accents that would please a wide variety of potential homeowners. We selected soft golden tones and rusty oranges for the accents. We also had to choose art and accessories that were pleasing to a wide audience, so we used Asian architectural artifacts and antiques.

The most unique aspect of this house is that it really represents indoor/ outdoor living at its best. None of the spaces are connected by interior hallways. You have to go outside to get from one room to the next, and the walkways are surrounded by water. Large overhangs protect you from the elements.
