Scottsdale, Ariz.—Kitchen and Bath Business (K+BB) recently presented Ownby Design, LLC with two K+BB Design Awards for their superior design work in the kitchen and bath space.
The awards were officially announced at K/BIS, the nation’s largest kitchen and bath trade conference April 11-13, 2008, in Chicago, and featured in the April 2008 issue of K+BB magazine. K+BB is the nation’s leading publication serving kitchen and bath professionals, including kitchen designers, interior designers, architects and manufacturers, as well as the official sponsor of K/BIS.
Ownby Design was recognized with a coveted “Kitchen of the Year” award for the design work on a sleek and modern Maui kitchen. Claire Ownby, ASID and Lindsey Schultz, Allied Member ASID, designed the kitchen as a gathering spot and entertainment hub, complete with dual refrigerator drawers and spacious food and beverage storage options, as well as a pair of dishwashers for post-party cleaning. Sapele wood was utilized throughout the kitchen and incorporated in the exquisite ceiling beams to unify the kitchen with the adjacent bar and dining room areas.
Ownby Design also won an Honorable Mention award in the Bath category for the master bath design of another oceanfront Maui property. The Kahana Paradise bathroom design incorporated a modern design that emphasized comfort and use by numerous visitors.
